Our COVID-19 Response in San Francisco and South Asia
This global pandemic has created a hopelessness and despair beyond our control. Many are asking how they can help during this time. In this critical time, how do we love and serve our community well even while socially distancing ourselves?
Now is a time for us to arise and practice Christian stewardship and respond together with the love of Jesus — Pray, Serve, and Give.
PRAY
For our team members in South Asia who are living and ministering in urban slums and villages for protection and creative ways to meet the needs of the community during this social-distancing period
For provision for food and basic needs in South Asia as it becoming a major scarcity for everyday laborers and families that have lost their jobs due to the lockdown
serve
In San Francisco we are serving home-cooked meals to the people on the streets of San Francisco and telling them God has not forgotten them
Also in San Francisco, we will be distributing hygiene kits to various homeless shelters, veteran organizations, and local community centers. Email us director.ywamn2n@gmail.com for details and instructions on how to donate and drop off the hygiene kits. In general these kits should be in small/compact zip lock bags and contain shampoo, body wash/bar soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, a face mask (homemade is acceptable), deodorant, granola and energy bars, socks, and underwear.
Give
If you're not able to donate hygiene kits at the moment, you can purchase a hygiene kit which we will assemble and distribute in San Francisco on our Give page
For more information about South Asia ministries, contact director.ywamn2n@gmail.com — donations are accepted on our Give page.
