Nations2Nations (N2N) is a local San Francisco chapter of N2N International within Youth With A Mission (YWAM), called to mobilize people of all nations, to all nations. As a small team of missionary pioneers, we are excited to be a part of what God will do through this first chapter of N2N in North America.
Edwin Fillies — International ywam nations to nations director
Edwin Fillies is from South Africa and has served with YWAM for the last 33 years. He was called by God to live for His dream and became the first missionary from his community to serve God in the nations. His obedience and call became the catalyst for many from his own community and family to follow God. This passion for God has taken him to over 70 nations as part of the Nations2Nations ministry that he co-founded in the year 2000. Edwin currently leads the YWAM base in Muizenberg, Cape Town, South Africa. He is also serving in several YWAM International roles. Edwin is married to Diana who is originally from Switzerland and they live with their four children in South Africa.
W.S.(YWAM nations to nations SF director), Carolina, zion
W.S. (in 1985) and Carolina (in 1995) began their service with YWAM in South Asia, where they ministered in slums, villages and cities, and trained hundreds to be missionaries in South Asia and globally.
In 2006, W.S., Carolina and their daughter Zion moved as a family into Netherland’s Amsterdam's Red Light district where they led ministry to prostitutes and transvestites, and also directed the first YWAM School for Evangelism and Pioneering in Europe.
In 2011, the Lord again moved this family, this time to San Francisco where the family ministered to the addicts, dealers, homeless, immigrants and prostitutes in the Tenderloin district.
Continuing in San Francisco, the family is now pioneering the first YWAM N2N chapter in North America. W.S.’s passion is to educate, equip and empower others toward showing God's love to vulnerable communities, while Carolina's heart is to light the hope of Jesus to those facing domestic abuse and sexual exploitation and Zion's heart is to come alongside her parents and to reach out to youth. Together their vision is to holistically support isolated individuals in the city, low-income families, and marginalized communities locally and in the nations.
